So, in celebration of National Women’s Health Week, we wanted to share five quick tips on how you can get more active so you can continue building your health from the ground up. Keep on reading if you’re interested in learning more!
1. Celebrate the small stuff. Considering a new routine is a win!
Whether you work out for 10 minutes or walk 10 miles, a new routine (big or small) is a win! To get active, you don’t have to run a marathon. You can take a quick walk on your lunch break. Celebrating when you take on a new active routine can help motivate you more than you think!
2. Set an intention.
Setting an intention can help if you want to become more active, but are struggling to make a routine! Your intention can be as small as taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Whatever it may be, setting an intention can help motivate you to be more active.
3. Have fun! Movement should feel playful!
Your active routine doesn’t have to feel like a chore. You should enjoy whatever you’re taking part in! This could include walking with your friends on your lunch break at work or even going to yoga once or twice a week.
4. Be mindful of opportunities to move.
There are so many different ways you can get active and most of them are right at your feet. Be mindful of the opportunities around you and take advantage of the ones that will help get you more active!
5. Bring a friend along – even if it’s on the phone!
Bring someone along with you! Having someone by your side can help motivate you to stay active, even if it’s only for that day. Plus, it’ll make your new routine so much more fun!

Should not recommend #5 “ even if it’S on the phone” – yapping on the phone disturbs others that dont want the noise or hear others business for the duration of THEIR workout ; also they can’t be aware of their surroundings for safety
