WOMEN’S MONTH: DRESS FOR SUCCESS x VIONIC
All month long, we’re celebrating amazing women and causes that support women! March is Women’s History Month and to celebrate, we wanted to highlight some of the incredible work our charity partner, Dress for Success, does in our local community.
ABOUT DRESS FOR SUCCESS
The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Dress for Success San Francisco launched its program in June 2006 and has provided career development services and retention programs to over 7,000 women throughout San Francisco.
Dress for Success’ vision is a world where women do not live in poverty. They strive for a world where all women are financially independent, are treated with dignity and respect and are directly impacting their lives and those of their families. They aspire to a world that fully harnesses the power of women and recognizes their role in economic sustainability.
ABOUT VIONIC CARES
Vionic Cares is an internal program through which we at Vionic partner and collaborate with other like-minded organizations to benefit the community at large via donation support, fundraisers, and outreach programs, etc. Getting involved gives employees an opportunity to not only give back to the community, but to also enjoy great experiences and meet wonderful people along the way.
WORKING TOGETHER
Vionic is dedicated to supporting women with the tools they need to always put their best foot forward. This is just one of the reasons our partnership with Dress for Success is such a natural fit. Since 1996, we’ve joined forces with its San Francisco chapter to help Bay Area women returning to the workforce look great and feel confident.
Dress for Success is an extremely important cause and one that Vionic shares a vision with. We strive to provide women from all walks of life with a solid foundation so that they feel empowered and confident enough to take on the world every day. Each pair of Vionic shoes is designed with ultimate comfort and support in mind. We aim to provide all women amazing shoes that support their every move, no matter their role. From the office to the gym to everywhere in between, Vionic designs supportive shoes for every step of the way.
Vionic is a proud sponsor of Dress for Success. This past December, Vionic took part in Dress for Success’ “Holiday Soiree!”, which raised over $90,000 for the women they serve. Vionic created a pop-up shop at the event to help raise continued awareness. The annual Holiday Pop Up Shop fundraiser is just one way Vionic employees can get involved in this partnership of empowerment — and have a ton of fun, too.
