This past September, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Vionic was honored to host a brain cancer research fundraiser benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and PNOC (the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Consortium Foundation), the latter of which was established by Vionic co-founder Bruce Campbell and his wife Allyn.
Thanks to the generous donations of Vionic customers and team members, we’re pleased to report that close to $10,000 was raised—100% of which was split equally between St. Jude and PNOC.
A diagnosis of childhood cancer is devastating for all members of a family. Brain cancer, now the leading childhood cancer, remains vastly underfunded. Research dollars are critical to treating this disease and finding a cure. The promising news is that outcomes are improving. However, there’s much progress to be made, dependent on funds to support the research.
One of the rewarding things about a corporate mission focused on support, comfort, and wellness is the opportunity to partner with other groups—like St. Jude and PNOC—that are equally dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those they serve.
Through the work of our charitable division VIONIC CARES, we look forward to continuing these relationships and engaging with others to make a positive difference where and when we can.
