Vionic Supports: 2017 AVON 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer | Vionic Shoes

 

For the third year in a row, Vionic is proud to have participated as a sponsor in support of the AVON 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer in San Francisco, CA. This annual, two-day walk spans over 39.3 miles and helps raise funds for research, programs and treatments to end breast cancer. Vionic donated 1,400 pairs of our Beach flip flops with supportive technology to the walkers who took part in this year’s event.

 

 

In addition to our sponsorship, a team of 5 Vionic employees participated in the walk and raised $11,593 in donations in support of AVON 39. We also had a large group of volunteers who lent their support by cheering on walkers as they completed the course and helped give away Vionic sandals to the walkers.

 

 

“We’re thrilled to support the people walking to raise money and awareness for such a vital cause. It’s especially important to support one another during times of challenge, as we’ve all had personal connections with women facing this battle,” said Vionic President Connie Rishwain. “We hope our donation offers comfort to those who put themselves through this personal challenge over their two-day journey.”

 

 

Although Vionic was overjoyed to participate in this year’s walk, the fight against breast cancer is not over. To offer our continuous support, Vionic has created limited edition prints of our Vionic Beach Sandal. With each pair purchased, $5 will be donated to a local breast cancer charity.
