Jessica’s journey began in (freezing) February, when she signed up for our third annual #VionicWalkabout challenge through Sparkpeople. Despite the cold, Jessica spent time outdoors each day as part of her job as a professional dog-walker. She often had a trusty sidekick (or two… or three…) with her on her daily walks. With her own weight loss goals in mind, Jessica worked hard to keep herself moving each day, taking beautiful pictures along the way. The #VionicWalkabout program (and the support of her Vionic shoes) gave her the extra incentive to keep it up.
“Oh, the weather outside is frightful; but the trail is so delightful. And since we’ve got smells to explore, let’s walk more, in the frozen outdoor! #VionicWalkabout”
When asked about what her #VionicWalkabout journey meant to her, Jessica told us, “The Walkabout was the perfect way to keep my motivation going in the cold, brutal month of February. So far I’ve lost 22 lbs (!!!) and my final weigh-in is on Saturday. This trip is like the icing on the (healthy) cake. Of course, I’ll need to buy new clothes to wear on my slimmer figure– the perfect additional motivation to keep going with my weight-loss journey!”
How does she unwind after long days on the trail with her four-legged clients? “My favorite thing after a long day of dog walks is putting on my Vionic slippers— instant relief for tired feet.”
